White Oak Music Hall has named Lyft, the fastest-growing on-demand transportation service in the US, as its exclusive and official rideshare partner, a relationship that brings additional value to event attendees and artists performing at Houston’s premier live music venue. As part of the partnership, Lyft has made a $12,000 donation to the nonprofit group Friends of Little White Oak Bayou, with funds supporting a Hurricane Harvey relief fund established by WOMH to specifically help musicians and other individuals working in the live or recording music industry in Houston who have been impacted by Harvey. On November 16 at 9pm, Market Street kicks off the holiday season with the lighting of the 70-foot-tall Market Street Christmas Tree by a chosen “Lighting Luminary.“ More than 25,000 twinkling lights will perform to music as hundreds gather in Central Park. Throughout the holiday season, horse and carriage rides and a children‘s pony cart will be available for guests to enjoy.
