If you lived in Houston in the later part of the 1990s, it was pretty impossible to not know about Matt Maloney. He came from
out of nowhere to become a star with the Houston Rockets in his rookie year, starting an entire season at point guard with legends Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler and Charles Barkley. In the early 2000s, when Maloney went on to play for other teams
in the NBA, it was pretty impossible not to know Calvin Stanley’s band Pale if you were out and about in Houston. They started
