BOX 13 ArtSpace is presenting four exhibitions this
month. In the Downstairs Front BOX, Emily Fleisher
explores the connection between the imprint of bird
fatalities on mundane suburban windows and the
grandiose depictions of religious imagery found in
the window of gothic cathedrals in Dove-otionals.
Tom Orr and Arthur Peña explore their sensitivity to
material, interest in light as a phenomenon and how
perception can break down leading to mysterious
encounters in the exhibition, sharp clouds magic
eyes, in Downstairs Back BOX. Chris Sauter’s work
in the Upstairs BOX tackles the dialectic between science and religion in God of the Gaps. In the
Window BOX, Diana-Sophia Estrada inverts the
public spectacle of the window display and the
voyeurism of a peephole in, Mountain Through a
Peephole. Free.

To Sunday, June 14
Fresh Arts is excited to bring Houston a
new and unique way to buy original artwork and support the local art scene. In
the fall of 2014, six artists were commissioned by Fresh Arts to create 50 original
works of art, which will be bundled and
sold as 'shares'. In other words, 50 lucky
patrons will enjoy an affordable sampling
of artwork from six of the most exciting
artists working in our community. For the
Community Supported Art Program, Fresh
Arts will host 2 parties where buyers can
sip, nibble and talk to some of Houston’s
finest artists. (2101 Winter Street, Studio
B11) – the event is free, a CSA share is
$350.

Festival will feature over 90 Houston-based artists,
small businesses and makers of unique design
goods. In addition, there will be a live mural by Up
