FOOD | ARTS | COMMUNITY | STYLE+LEISURE Brothers and Houston natives, VINCENT DI NGUYEN and PETER NGUYEN, are the creative masterminds behind the whimsical modern mural which uses childhood memories growing up in H-town. The two graduated from Klein Forest High School. Vincent graduated with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and has contributed to films like Rio, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Horton Hears a Who!, to name a few. His clients include HarperCollins, Scholastic and Random House. Peter is a Color Key Artist at Blue Sky Studios whose work has influenced Rio 2, the Ice Age series and Horton Hears a Who! His artwork can be found in DC Comic Publications, achieving a boyhood dream. The mural is a fun addition to Houston’s local public art trend that we hope never goes out of style. july 16 | L O C A L 35
