WORLD-CLASS ARTIST AT ART OF THE WORLD
JORGE JIMÉNEZ DEREDIA COMES TO TOWN
Jorge Jiménez Deredia and his famous works will be exhibited at blue-chip
Houston gallery Art of the World Gallery beginning Thursday, January 18.
Deredia — a native of Costa Rica — is the world’s leading Latin American

exhibitions over the last 50 years from Mexico City and Florence to Lima and
Shanghai. His works have been featured at the Venice Biennale three times,
and he remains the only extra-European artist to have a work represented in
the Vatican’s public collection — an incredible lifetime achievement and feat
unmatched by living artists. Bringing his talents to Art of the World Gallery,
Deredia will be present to p ersonally guide and explain his works and move-
ments. Rarely does a world-renowned artist of Deredia’s caliber make person-
