40 + New Restaurants !

As the city of Houston prepares for the arrival of Super Bowl LI , there ’ ll be a lot of restaurants readying to open their doors just in time . There ’ s already plenty to choose from in the city , but these new openings will provide many more tasty dining options for Houstonians and visitors alike .
Here ’ s a partial list of restaurants set to open before the Super Bowl that you ’ ll want to check out !
Starfish : Lee Ellis will bring his eclectic style and flare for originality to the décor and ambiance at the Heights-area restaurant . This seafood-centric concept will offer diners fresh handmade food in a fun , relaxing atmosphere .
Local Foods Downtown : Benjy Levitt and Chef / Partner Dylan Murray will open their fourth location in downtown Houston in the historic 1934 Joseph Finger-designed , Art Deco-style building at 420 Main Street . This new three-story location will also feature a raw bar and ceviche selection .
Brasserie du Parc : Chef Philippe Verpiand and his wife Monica are opening an authentic French brasserie located on the ground floor of One Park Place overlooking Discovery Green . Their new concept will also include a traditional French creperie , Creperie du Parc .
Kiran ’ s : The longtime Houston favorite recently closed its location near Highland Village and will reopen at 2925 Richmond . Expect the new look to be a great match for her well-prepared Indian food .
Bayou & Bottle : Opening within the Four Seasons Hotel , this lobby bar and restaurant is sure to draw a hip crowd to the Downtown area . Restaurateur Richard Sandoval will be bringing his refined touch to the new bar that ’ ll feature a vast bourbon selection .
One Fifth : Chris Shepherd will debut his new concept in the space that formerly housed Mark ’ s . The first of his five ( hence the name ) concepts , which will change annually , is his version of a steakhouse .
FM Burger : The burger craze has taken over Houston and Chef Ryan Hildebrand is getting in on the action . His much anticipated FM Burger will hold its own when it opens in the Washington Ave . area .
King ’ s Bierhaus : The famed Pearland restaurant King ’ s Biergarten will make its way into Houston city limits as King ’ s Bierhaus . You can expect specialty cocktails , gourmet sausages and over 30 specialty brews in an atmosphere similar to that of Oktoberfest .
Bosscat Kitchen : A taste of Newport Beach , California , is headed to the River Oaks District with Bosscat Kitchen and Libations . Prepare to dine on American comfort food and sip whiskey from an in-house selection of over 200 different types .
