SCENE SCENE EVENT: A NIGHT WITH ANTON GINZBURG AND CELLIST LOUIS-MARIE FARDET EVENT: FABULASH PARTY FOR OPENING OF CHIC SALON EVENT: HANDS DOWN, THE SOCIAL BOOK HOSTS THE BEST PARTY WHERE: BARBARA DAVIS GALLERY WHERE: THE LASH L OUNGE MEMORIAL GREEN Barbara Davis Gallery celebrated Construction Proxy, a solo exhibition by Russian- born, New York-based artist Anton Ginzburg. The gallery partnered with the Houston Symphony Young Associates Council and invited guests to admire art and music while sipping bubbles. Cellist Louis-Marie Fardet, along with Ginzburg, selected three musical compositions that captured the spirit and energy of the artwork. The exhibition will be open until February 17. A VIP “Sneak Peak” party was hosted at The Lash Lounge Memorial Green to pre- view the new Houston location. Guests at the FabuLASH event enjoyed cocktails and light bites from Memorial Green’s Dish Society. A tour of the top-of-the-line facility was given and each guest left with a swag bag. Owners Scott Evans, Jeff Henry and Sami Shbeeb welcomed more than 600 guests to celebrate the 23rd anniversary edition. A company that assists nonprofit organizations and compa- nies in scheduling fundraisers in the community, The Social Book partnered with the famous event coordinator Paul-David Van Atta and his company PDV Special Events for a night filled with Texas fare food, two live bands, lots of wine and bubbles, and entertainment galore. Luvi Wheelock, founder of Atrium Ready to Wear and Casa de Novia Bridal Couture in River Oaks Shopping Center, hosted a festive lunch to benefit Fabretto Children’s Foundation, whose mission is to empower underserved children and their families in Nicaragua. The guest list included Houston’s chicest ladies. A beautiful seated lunch with a stunning tablescape and décor was set for them to enjoy. Afterwards, the women sipped on bubbles and wine while shopping Atrium’s chic holiday outfits styled by Wheelock.
