My favorite place for the best
haircut and the closest shave
is IN THE BLACK, a brand-new
space on Washington Avenue.
It is owned by my good friend
Marco Martinez, who has
been perfecting his craft since
he was thirteen years old.

I love the laidback southern vibe of Belle Station,
Keelan Baker’s new concept bar on West Gray. I
sampled a preview of their signature cocktail, a frozen
mint julep. Luckily, it is never too cold in Houston to
enjoy a frozen drink.

Old World Antieks is not only located just outside one
of my favorite towns (Round Top, Texas), but is also
a great place to find architectural pieces and unique
items from all over the world to use for my projects.
