Rain: Magdalena Fernández at the Houston Cistern. Opening December 10 and running
through June 4, this site-specific installation will transform the 87,500sf Houston Cistern
and its 221 two-story-tall columns into a unique gallery space onto which artist Magdalena
Fernández will project her abstract video, 2iPM009, a Mondrian-inspired work that is meant
to evoke a rainy night. Its imagery is reflected in the shallow pool of water on the Cistern floor.

Looking for the Right Time. Deborah Colton Gallery is pleased to present Looking for the
Right Time, a solo exhibition of the works of Bert L. Long, Jr. (1940-2013), one of the most
talented, versatile and prolific artists ever to hail from the state of Texas. With his paintings,
sculptures, drawings, prints and photographs, he sought above all else to communicate with
the viewer. As Bert once put it, “I paint in order to help people understand their ills so that they
