HAMILTON INTRODUCES WOMEN’S STYLES
Hamilton Shirts, the Houston-based, family-owned bespoke men’s shirtmaker, is known for its classic designs,
and has spent the past 135 years trying to figure out how to make them better. Now, with fourth-generation
owner KELLY HAMILTON at the helm, the company is introducing five classic women’s styles that draw on
Hamilton’s tradition of design, craftsmanship and personalization.
Who better to launch it? After all, Kelly has been wearing Hamilton Shirts for years, made to her own speci-
fications right here in the local workshop.
She's a woman on a mission. “For the last few years, I’ve been working with our team of pattern makers
and seamstresses to create five styles, perfectly constructed and tailored, that I think every woman should
have in her wardrobe,” she explains. Using the exact same time-tested techniques of cutting and sewing the
company has relied upon since its founding, Hamilton is able to produce products that customers will really
wear. “There’s nothing fashion forward about Hamilton Women’s,” she adds. “They’re just really well-made
shirts out of beautiful fabrics that are wearable and comfortable. And these five styles are truly all you need
in your wardrobe."
Hamilton’s women’s offerings -- a classic button-down, a “boyfriend” button-down, a tunic, a western style
and a utility shirt -- are sized from 0–14 or XXS –XXL and can be customized in very thoughtful ways that
are both comfortable and flattering. There is the ability to choose bust size (A/B or C/D) and whether or not
to include darts, as well as the more expected choices of collar, cuff, pockets and monogramming.
Every Hamilton shirt is hand made from start to finish in the company’s local workshop, located in the same
building as their retail space/shop/boutique on Richmond Ave. Those who visit in person are able to choose
from the hundreds of fabrics sourced from the finest Italian and Swiss mills; for those shopping the women’s
collection online, Hamilton offers an expertly edited version of 5–10 fabrics per style (including linen, poplin
and a cotton cashmere), with swatches available free of charge.
