Dr. Michael Ciaravino makes it his mission to
help every woman who walks through the door of his West
University practice to fully embrace the beauty she seeks.
“I’ve always been interested in the combination of the
art and science behind cosmetic surgery,” he says. Over
the last 20 years, Ciaravino has become one of the leading
breast augmentation experts in the world. His detailed
approach blends a surgeon’s precision with an artist’s
eye – and the results are undeniable. He stresses a need
for women to work with the size and shape of their bodies,
helping to create a natural look that inspires confidence.
Ciaravino uses smaller incisions, which he says makes
recovery a lot easier, and uses 3D technology to help
women see more clearly what they will look like following
surgery.
“We want patients to understand how a certain look will
work on her body, depending on her frame, her age, her
goals,” he explains. “We work to understand their motives,
whether it’s to look better after a change in weight, or
because she hasn’t developed in a way she wants, even fix
a surgery they’ve already had.”
His emphasis on educating patients and finding individual
solutions is part of what keeps women flocking to his
office, a marble and blonde wood affair that’s flooded with
light and populated with a staff that itself looks like it
came from the pages of high-end fashion magazines. The
emphasis on beauty isn’t lost on the surgeon, who says
that when women come into his office, they want to be
able to realize that they can look how they’ve always
imagined.
“It’s amazing to see how patients feel afterwards,” he
says. “Even if it’s just a subtle procedure, it has a tremendous impact. I know that I am helping people in a way
that is substantial, and not superficial at all.”
Ciaravino stresses to his staff the importance of serving as
a partner to his patients, wanting them to realize they are
all part of a journey a woman is taking for herself. The surgery sees more than 800 patients every year, and
Ciaravino says every case represents a personal choice a
woman has made.
“We look to find solutions that work with her lifestyle,”
he says. “And I see myself as a guide. I love knowing that
patients have come back to me happy and thankful for
what we’ve done.”
