The City of Pearland opened a 7,000 linear-foot nature
trail extension to the city’s recreational Trail System. The trail
provides a location for environmental education and a place

April 30 – 11th Annual Houston NAMIWalks, benefiting
the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Greater Houston.
The family-friendly 5K walk will bring together as many as
3,000 participants starting at 8:30am at Sam Houston Park,
1000 Bagby Street. Individual and team advance registration
is now open at www.namiwalks.org/greaterhouston. Proceeds fund
NAMI’s free programs to help individuals and families dealing with both adult and childhood mental illnesses.
