What the LMSS Constitution says: 1. Be the sole custodian of all Society finances; The Treasurer runs at Hustings with the big reveal at LMSS AGM 2. Keep the full written accounts of the Society at all times and liaise with the Society’s accountants in the form of Auditors of the Society in accordance with Article 18. They shall cooperate punctually and diligently in any accounting request made of them by the Treasurer; 3. Keep records of all invoices and receipts for audit purposes consistent with the principles of good accounting governance; 4. Present Financial Reports to the Full Committee at Meetings at the request of the Full Committee, or the Board of T rustees, including the annual ‘Budget’, which is presented to the Full Committee no later than the 31st October each year; 5. Present an Annual Financial Report (AFR) and a Certified Balance Sheet to the Society at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be signed by the President, who will subsequently present it to the Board of Trustees; 6. In the absence of the President, carry out his or her duties; 7. Be entitled to request a budget of expenditure from all other Society account holders; 8. Manage all Society business relating to Charity or Company status, and its associated laws and administration, including the renewal of any and all trademarks with the Intellectual Property Office; 9. Ensure that the legal documents of the Society are maintained and archived for his or her successor, and shall record a written log of his or her time in office in the Treasurer’s Book; 10. Be the custodian of the Treasurer’s Jacket, the Treasurer’s Helmet, and the Society’s Leopard Skin in conjunction with Article 22; 11. Set the Student Membership fee, the subscription fee for any and all Alumni Associates and Honorary Life Members including their optional donations where appropriate, and shall set and provide a ‘block grant’ to all Society sports teams and associated societies (where appropriate) at the beginning of each term of office; 12.
