awareness and fundraising for
Alzheimer’s related research, in addition
to providing support for individuals who
are living with dementia and those who
provide care for them.

Within Progress Housing Group there are
currently over 150 Dementia Friends, in
particular those working within Progress
Lifeline, with a commitment to rolling this
out to more staff. All policies and
strategies within the organisation give
consideration to dementia, in addition to
a separate policy being developing
focusing how services can be improved
to better meet the needs of customers
who are living with dementia.

undergone Dementia Friend awareness
sessions. In addition to this support is
also provided focusing on fire
prevention.

The museum is an excellent day out
where memories and stories can shared.
Staff and volunteers at the museum are
Dementia Friends with individuals living
with dementia also being given
volunteering opportunities.
