respite care for older people and their
carers. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday &
Friday. We are based in The School
Rooms, Chorley Methodist Church
(formerly Trinity Church), Gillibrand
Walks, Chorley PR7 2HF
The cost for the day, including
lunch is £20.
Transport is not included; Community
Transport (Dial a Ride) may be able to
help.

Genesis Care aim to provide person
centred care within a homely
environment, focusing on strategies for
maintaining life skills, building self-
confidence and self -esteem.
We offer a wide range of activities and
therapies designed to stimulate and
motivate. These activities include chair
based T’ai Chi and exercises to music,
arts and crafts, reminiscence, quizzes,
discussion groups and Pause for
Thought.
We have a dedicated, skilled staff team
who have vast experience of working
with older people with disabilities
including dementia and Parkinsons.
We have 2 large rooms. The lounge
has group seating with comfortable
easy chairs. The spacious dining room
is also used for craft and exercise
sessions. There are disabled access
and toilet facilities.
We hold a drop in café on alternate
Wednesdays offering information and a
chance for carers and the people they
care for to socialise. Reasonably
priced sandwiches and cake are
available.
We also hold a Carers support and
friendship group on the 3rd Tuesday of
every month offering a chance for
carers to relax, chat, drink tea and eat
cake. This is free to any carer whether
the person attends Genesis or not.
