Dementia is a progressive disease which develops in different ways and at different speeds for different people. Among its symptoms it can affect how you perceive the world, how your body works, how you communicate, and your memory. It is not a natural part of ageing. The brain is an organ and sometimes, whatever our age or how healthy we keep ourselves, things happen to it. You’re not to blame and you’re not at fault.
