living well leyland hub Reducing Social Isolation Most of our Neighbourhood Forums are working on projects that aim to reduce social isolation. We have a particular focus on people who may be isolated as a result of dementia (people living with dementia and their carers). Information Hub at Leyland Market As part of the Social Isolation projects, we run an information stall at Leyland Market once a month. Here you can find out about support services such as Alzheimer’s Society, Age Concern Central Lancashire, Progress Lifeline, and many more. In addition, we have lots of information about social activities happening in the area, as well as advice on how to stay safe and secure at home. BOB-IN Café On the third Friday of every month. 1pm to 4pm at Lostock Library, Watkin Lane, Lostock Hall. Why not join us in an environment that is warm, safe and welcoming for all. We welcome: • Individuals or groups • Anyone wh feels lonely or isolated • People living with dementia or suffering from memory loss & their carers You will have the chance to meet others in a friendly environment who you can chat with. The session runs alongside the library games afternoon & as well as an information hub, there will be activities & games to enjoy. Free refreshments will be provided at this dementia friendly drop-in café.
