Double Duty
The holiday season seems to be when our time is stretched
the thinnest. We have to find products and systems that do the
most for our skin in the shortest amount of time. Establishing
a simple routine for morning and evening can go a long way
with skin health.
Recipes for Success
Body Scrub
• 2 cups raw sugar
• 1/2 cup grapeseed oil
• 5–7 drops Peppermint oil
*Tip: Use dōTERRA Verage ™ 4–step system in the morning
right when you wake up. Before you have time to get busy
with anything else, take a moment to take care of your skin.
Exfoliate
Exfoliating is when we use a rough soap to rid our skin
of dead and dying skin. It is usually done to rejuvenate
and brighten dry and dull skin. Exfoliating is the perfect
thing to do when skin starts to struggle in the winter. The
dōTERRA SPA Exfoliating Body Scrub is a great way to
add exfoliating to your routine. Keep this product in your
shower and use all over about once a week. Exfoliating too
often can be damaging to your skin, so limit yourself. Also,
you should never use exfoliating products near your eyes,
or on damaged skin. Try our Invigorating Scrub on your face—
it is gentle and effective for the skin on your face.
Hydrate
Hydrating is the most important thing to do to keep your
skin healthy this winter. First things first, make sure you are
drinking plenty of water. Winter tends to be the time we
skip on our regular water drinking habits. Once summer is
over, and we’re not hot and thirsty, so we may not be as
conscious of the need to hydrate. Set a goal to drink a
certain amount by certain times of the day. Your skin will
thank you for your effort.
Hydrating your skin during the winter usually needs to go one
step further than just drinking water. For hydrating your body,
use dōTERRA SPA Replenishing Body Butter. Body butter
is thicker than the average lotion and adds more hydration
into your skin. When it comes to your face, use dōTERRA
Essential Skin Care Hydrating Cream before bedtime to
replace the moisture your skin lost to the cold air through-
out the day .
