Every evening, at the end of the pièce de théâtre, I find it hard to
hold back my tears.
I look at the audience and I understand from the attitudes who
was impressed and I think “maybe that person fe lt such pain”.
It's a very strong emotion every night.
What is style in acting?
Style is something linked to one's way of being and, in acting, the
way we are is very important, because we have to change
ourselves to become one with the character we play.
I can say that style in acting is not something standardized, it is not
an equal component for everyone but it is that difference in
representing someone.
It is the vision we have of a situation or of a person, which we
apply when we have to tell it.
What intervenes when one has to choose between a theatrical
and a cinematic script?
The world of cinematography is certainly very exciting, you can
achieve effects that in reality you can only image. However, it is
true that in the cinema, if you have to jump from dizzying heights,
underneath you have mattresses, fortunately and, if it goes wrong,
you can repeat. The theater, on the other hand, is free of filters.
The audience is in the room, there, in front of you and, as much as
you are concentrated in the character, you perceive it. At the end
of a show you immediately notice the feelings, the emotions that
you have transmitted, what you left on those who witnessed the
pièce de théâtre. Surely the theater is "more emotion".

a delineare specificatamente le situazioni. Tutte le sere alla fine della
piéce théatrale io faccio fatica a trattenere le lacrime.
Guardo la platea e capisco dagli atteggiamenti chi del pubblico è rima-
sto colpito e penso “forse quella persona ha provato un dolore così”.
E’ una fortissima emozione ogni sera.
Cos’è lo stile nella recitazione?
Lo stile è qualcosa legato al proprio modo d’essere e nella recitazione
conta moltissimo come siamo perché dobbiamo modificarci per di-
ventare una cosa sola con il personaggio che interpretiamo. Quindi
posso dire che lo stile nella recitazione non è qualcosa di standardiz-
zato, non è una componente uguale per tutti ma è quella diversità nel
rappresentare qualcuno. E’ la visione che abbiamo di una situazione o
di una persona e che applichiamo nel momento in cui dobbiamo rac-
contarlo.
Cosa interviene quando si deve scegliere tra un copione teatrale e
uno cinematografico?
Il mondo della cinematografia è sicuramente molto entusiasmante,
puoi realizzare effetti che nella realtà immagini soltanto. Vero è, però,
che di contro nel cinema se devi affrontare delle scene di lanci da al-
tezze vertiginose sotto hai dei materassi, per fortuna, e se sbagli ri-
peti. Il teatro, invece, è privo di filtri. Il pubblico è in sala, li davanti a te
e per quanto tu sia concentrato nel personaggio la sua presenza la
percepisci. Alla fine di uno spettacolo ti accorgi subito delle sensazio-
ni, delle emozioni che hai trasmesso, di cosa hai lasciato addosso a chi
ha assistito alla piéce théatrale. Sicuramente il teatro è “più emozio-
