Every Second
Every second I ’ m alive Death is just around the corner Behind that tempting door And every time I want it to end I turn around Sliding my hand across its smooth knob
1 . But my will is weak
And my wishful mind is too consistent So I fall back , away from the door
1 . To keep walking on my weary legs
While it follows my darkening shadow .
Then the night shifts in place . It ’ s what I ’ ve waited for all day And that door fades away Unable to find my camouflaged shadow . I crawl on my bed Letting my eyes close and repress the world And now , life is the least of my worries
