Allies/Aliad@s Allies/ Aliad@s logo Capital Pride Parade 2017 Allies/Aliad@s club has been active since 2017 when it was formed at Harvard Street Campus under the advisory of Frank Alvarez and Andrea Drost, who were supervised by Tara Villanueva, Arts Integration Manager. During 2017 and 2018 we organized different events such as a National Coming Out Day talk with student participation at Harvard Street Campus, and the Transgender Day of Remembrance at the SG Campus. We also assisted in the organization and planning of the Capital Pride Parade and the Pride Luncheon at SG Campus. As well, we hosted infor- mation tables at both campuses to promote the Club and different LGBTQ+ events. Club Mission Statement: The Allies team believes in teamwork. If we work together, we can achieve our goals. We have the freedom to do and be whomever e want in order to help our community to create a better future for all. “Never give up on your dreams and goals, always help your community. We all have the right to be who we are.” Led By Emma Sandoval and Eliezer Orellana students leaders who support the LGBTQ community. 64
