With the same goal of promoting
voting, representatives at the Sonia
Gutierrez Campus had an election to
choose their favorite tamal. Students
tried two different tamales-a corn husk
tamale and a plantain leaf tamale and
cast their votes. Student Government
counted the votes and the Math for Life
and Work class analyzed the results.
Representatives of the Harvard Street Campus participated in the National
Council of La Raza Leadership Summit. As part of the summit, they visited
members of Congress to talk about adult education, healthcare,
immigration, and DC’s election result to become the 51st State.
