With the same goal of promoting voting, representatives at the Sonia Gutierrez Campus had an election to choose their favorite tamal. Students tried two different tamales-a corn husk tamale and a plantain leaf tamale and cast their votes. Student Government counted the votes and the Math for Life and Work class analyzed the results. Representatives of the Harvard Street Campus participated in the National Council of La Raza Leadership Summit. As part of the summit, they visited members of Congress to talk about adult education, healthcare, immigration, and DC’s election result to become the 51st State. 59
