Moving to another country can be a very challenging experience, and especially
moving to the United States. It’s a big diversity of cultures, different political,
health and tax systems, and the language barrier are just a few of the many
challenges immigrants have to face. Carlos Rosario is not just a school. It is
an institution that helps immigrants to bear all the obstacles they meet from
finding a job and opening a small business to dealing with discrimination
and learning how to vote. Carlos Rosario is important because it protects our
rights, gives us better opportunities in life, and provides a safe environment for
students to grow.

Mi nombre es Karen Licona. Tengo 23 años. Tengo un hijo Óstin Gabriel Licona.
Mi hijo es mi inspiración, es el que me da fuerza para salir adelante. Por él y
para él. Mis sueños son: superarme primero en ser mejor persona. Ser mejor
madre. Y uno de mis sueños principales es estudiar llegar a ser a alguien en
la vida. Y le doy gracias a Dios por darme la oportunidad de estudiar en la
escuela Carlos Rosario. Aprender inglés es el comienzo de mis sueños y de
mis metas. Y sé que con la ayuda de Dios los voy a poder cumplir. Con
