Can’t Find Place to Cash My Moneygram (Excerpt) ... It is Saturday morning, I’m waiting for the stores to open to cash my Mon- eygram. I went everywhere and most of them were still closed. I was frus- trated and unfortunately a person was in line waiting to send money at the Western Union. He was a Mexican-American guy and I asked him if he knew any place that I can cash my Moneygram. He told me that today they were closed but there was a store that he knew that would cash it. Well, I didn’t hesitate, I said ok. I was excited to cash it but I took a risk with a strange man but I trusted in God. He gave me a ride to the store that he knew and the store accepted the Moneygram and I got cash and paid five dollars for the service. I was very happy and rushed to the last minute bus that was leaving in twenty minutes. The young man was very nice and took me back to where I was (the gas station) and I bought my ticket and traveled for al- most nine hours to Dallas and reunited with my cousin. We were very happy to see each other after a long time. by Simon Abraham 39
