Orientation A students went on a
field trip to Bread for the City, a
local organization that provides
vulnerable residents with safety net
services. Students volunteered at
t h e o r g a n i z a t i o n ’s t h r i f t s t o r e ,
sorting through clothing donations
and preparing bags with food
donations. At the same time they
p r a c t i c e d c l o t h i n g v o c a b u l a r y,
greetings and closings, and polite
phrases (please, thank you, you're
welcome). Following the field trip,
they created sentences based on
the experience.
