Nikol
Gontscharenko
Nikol Gontscharenko studied design at
the "Instituto Universitario de Tecnología
Antonio José de Sucre" in his native
Venezuela. He worked as a professional
designer for almost ten years. He moved
to the United States in 2013, and is
currently an ESL 5 student at the Carlos
Rosario School. This is his first year
designing In Our Own Words.
About The Cover
Throughout history, the cherry blossom has proved to be a
symbol of ‘new life,’ ‘uniqueness,’ ‘nobility,’ and ‘faith in change.’
The stories within capture this essence. It is fitting also that pink is
the favorite color of the designer.
