Timket - My Holiday !

Timket is an Ethiopian religious Holiday celebrated by the Orthodox- Church . ‘ Timket ’ means Jesus ’ s baptism by John in the Jordan River but this Holiday is celebrated by all Christians . Timket Holiday comes every year on January 19th and the celebration lasts for days . The first day is called ' Ketara .' All priests meet together in a big open field and worship GOD . The second day the Priests throw Holy water to people . The third and last day the Priests carry the ‘ Tabot ’ then return back to their original places .
My Favorite Holiday is Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Day is always celebrate the last Thursday of the month of November in the United States . On Thanksgiving Day we take time to give thanks for the blessings we received . I really dance the whole night .
Also , I have four days off . This is my favorite part because I don ’ t work and I have time more to stay with my family . I can go anywhere -- maybe go to church , go shopping or visit some of my family .
Thanksgiving Day is a perfect day to think about all good things we have in life and enjoy the time we share with the family and friends .
