A Special Person In My Life By Marbella Toro ESL 5 Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to meet many people, but there is one person who is definitely very important in my life. Her name is: Nellys (I call her Mi Nellita). She is 56 years old. She is single. She is a beautiful Venezuelan woman. She has bright green eyes and straight hair. She is short and a bit skinny. She works in a funeral services company. She is a manager. She loves her job. She has been working for seven years in this company. She is a very optimistic person. She is the friendliest person I know but she can be extremely rude when she is angry. She is active, very generous, honest and humble. She has many hobbies: She loves walking, reading and spending time with her nephew. In addition, she likes traveling in the summer to Peru to visit her best friend. I have known Mi Nellita for over 7 years. I remember I was studying at the Central University of Venezuela and I lived with my aunt, but her house was far away and I had to move to another location and it was there where I met Mi Nellita. Since then she has become my second mother. She has been my best friend and my confidant. She gives me wonderful advice and has taught me a lot about life. Mi Nellita does anything she can for me without ever asking for anything in return. Despite the distance, we keep in touch. We talk almost every day and our relationship is wonderful. I am grateful. I love her. My Special Person By Celeste Sanchez His name is John, he is 28 years old, he’s single and he doesn’t have children, he lives in Virginia with his dog Stella a beautiful, friendly and sweet dog. He’s a chef. He works with me. Actually he’s my boss. John has beautiful blue eyes. He has blonde hair, well he is gringo obviously he has light skin. He is very handsome but that does not describe all that’s special about him. His best qualities are in his personality. He is kind, very smart, funny, a little smug, but he is a hard worker, a little immature and annoying. He is never quiet. He talks very loudly, sings, runs everywhere. He is very active. He loves to exercise and he is a little crazy and that is good because normal is boring. He seems like my teacher Hugh, I’m very lucky those types of persons keep me awake because I’m lazy. I’m always distracted thinking about many things, so I don’t remember when was the exact first time I saw him, but my old boss Chris is one of his best friends and Chris took him to work with us at The Partisan, the restaurant where I work. At first I didn’t like him because I thought he was weird when time passed I started to talk to him, and I realized that he was an excellent person. He is a good boss and he is a leader because he always works the same as everybody else. He is polite and flexible, but sometimes he doesn’t pay attention and gets mad and obnoxious, and I hate him. Still I believe that he is a good man, the best part of work with him is his delicious food. He is the best boss I’ve ever had. In Our Own Words 2016 21
