ENGLISH 04 level Student Government My First Day at School by Mita Abera by Gregorio Tapia I love student government. I love participating in student government because it helps me to know different community leaders and influential people. For example, by being a student leader, I was introduced to Ms. Allison Kokorros and the director of the Ethiopian Community Center among others. Further, student government offered me the chance to participate at events. I have participated at the dream lunch at Carlos Rosario, and I have met donors and influential people in town. I have also taken part in a discussion with visitors from Europe (Germany) who wanted to know about the school. Above all, student government helped to contribute activities such as the food drive, toy donations and flyer distribution. I am happy that I get the chance to develop my leadership skills, represent students and to be able to give back to the community. M y first day at Carlos Rosario school happened about two years ago. I started in Orientation A. The season was spring. The day was Monday at 1:00 PM. I was very nervous because I never studied English. Also I didn’t know anyone. But I was very excited because I knew that I was in the best school for adults in Washington, DC. I had a beautiful and wonderful teacher. She explained very well about the rules of the school. It was my first day at Carlos Rosario school. It was great. Wiki by u Lago 24 IN OUR OWN WORDS
