he one important reason why
my mom wanted me to come
to America was to get a better
education and to improve my life.
My mother always believed that if
you worked hard you can get a better
position in life.
In Ethiopia life is hard.
First of all it’s one of the poorest
countries on Earth. Even if you
complete college it’s difficult to
get a job. Luckily I was fortunate
that my parents had their own
business so I lived better than
most of the people around me.
It was difficult for me to watch
some of my family members or
neighbors sleep without eating
three meals and not having the
basic necessary things for life.
These problems were
pushing me to come to America
and live a better life and also,
when it is possible, to help some
of my family members and
neighbors. Right now I work
full time and I am also going to
school. I save some mone H
