El Salvador and the
United States

I am originally from El Salvador which is located
in Central America. This country has a very small
land with 6,108,590 inhabitants. In this country the
economy is very bad because there are a lot of people
who are unemployed. The country doesn’t have
enough jobs to offer for them. In the United States the
economy is much better than my country because the
government offers many jobs with good benefits and
good salaries. That makes people live much better
than my country.
The education in El Salvador is very good,
but the inhabitants don’t have enough money or
funds to pay their education. The government in El
Salvador has their own education system which is
not the same as the United States because the US has
its own education system which offers loans to the
students to pay for their education. Also, students can
count on transportation and nice buildings. All that
makes everything more convenient compared with El
Salvador.
El Salvador is principally a Roman Catholic
Country. This country is primarily made up of three
ethnic groups with a rich culture, society, language
etiquette, and good customs and manners. Also
Salvadoran people are very friendly. The country
comes with a lot picturesque scenery and also have
archaeological things that were made by ancient
Mayans. All those treasures make the country rich. The
US is a very lucky country because it made up of a lot of
different cultures. There are many people from different
countries. When people come here they have to adapt
to different cultures, and most of them like to keep their
own cultures because they identify with the country they
came from.
Most people from Central America decide to
come to the US because they want to study and have
a good education because they didn’t have all those
opportunities in El Salvador. Others came for better life
even though it is difficult for them to adapt to other
cultures.
The houses in my country are a little different
than here because they have a long porch with very
large gardens and bright flowers. Also there are a lot
of birds like songbirds, woodpeckers and goldfinches.
All that makes me feel free. In the United Stated most
of the houses are small with less land and people are
not able to see a lot of kinds of birds.
