Black History Month I admire Rosa Park’s courage. She did what she believed was right. That night when she took the bus from a hard day’s work, and refused to move to the back of the bus, she was not tired physically—she was tired of always giving in. Nowadays, people, regardless of their color, can sit anywhere on the bus or subway. Seats are first come first served. You stand when all seats are taken. Nobody will deprive you of the seat you have paid for. And this is because of Rosa Park’s brave act in 1955. Vladimir Villacorta Teacher: Susan Tanseco, Level 1, EVE 98 Sculpture by Edmond Nassa.
