How Attending Carlos Rosario
Changed mY life
I have been given a great opportunity to attend Carlos Rosario
International Public Charter School. Carlos Rosario consists of
students from various countries. It has broadened my knowledge and
understanding of different cultures from all other parts of the world.
In addition, it has helped me to prepare my skills and knowledge for the
GED exam.
First of all, attending Carlos Rosario has taught me new skills.
These skills will help me to pass the GED exam. For example, I now
understand more about various levels of math problems. I can think
about knowing how to solve these problems. My understanding of
English and reading comprehension have also improved. I look up
words in a dictionary and a thesaurus if I am not sure of their meanings.
My writing has also improved.
Secondly, attending Carlos Rosario has broadened my
knowledge and understanding of different cultures and has provided
me with information about students who come from different countries
from around the world. I have attended programs where I learned
about cultures other than mine, heard new music, saw traditional
costumes and learned about drums, rhythms and dance. I have tasted
new foods. Since the majority of students are immigrants, their
stories, diversity and culture inspire me, encourage me and motivate me
to continue learning. I know I am more successful and have continued
to grow as a person since I had the opportunity to attend Carlos
Rosario International Public Charter School.
