Level 6 e and Sadness Lov I saw Frida Kahlo’s painting about a young woman and her love of nature on a huge poster during Hispanic Heritage month at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School inside the cafeteria. She is a young and loving woman. She is thinking about something else. She looks sad. She never smiles and her lips are pursed together. Her eyes are looking down and far away. Frida is surrounded by nature which she loves: tropical plants, vases with exotic flowers, a big house with big windows, and monkeys as her pets. She loved her house where she lived and painting. Frida expressed her love and sadness by painting that which she loved the most and how her life was sad. Samiel Mehary Teacher: Sally McElroy, PM 67
