I went there and I asked one of their employees if they were hiring and she said yes. I applied for that job. They called me the next day. I was so happy. I went to the interview. I was excited and nerv- “I didn’t sleep ous at the same that night time. They sent because I was me to a clinic for the drug exam. I waiting for the went there. Afnext day.” ter that I waited for three days. They called me again and they said you have the job. They told me that I had to wear khaki pants and a red shirt. I thought, “I don‟t have khaki pants and a red shirt.” It was around 7 o‟clock in the evening when my sister said the store closes at 9:00 pm. We went to the store and I bought the uniform. I didn‟t sleep that night because I was waiting for the next day. I woke up early. I took a shower and I combed my hair. I wore my uniform. I was ready for my first job in the U.S. That‟s what I did to get the job. Teacher: Sheryl Sherwin Level 5 Morning Fall 2009 31
