It was in 1969 and my mother was a teenager and high school student. One afternoon my mother and her niece were returning from school when a car stopped beside them and three policemen jumped out of the car. Since a lot of people were walking on the road my mother and her niece thought that the police were looking for someone who did something bad, but the police directly came to my mom and forced her to enter in the car. She tried to run, but she couldn‟t do anything because there were three police and the people who were walking on the street were scared because the three police were wearing police uniforms. One of the three men was my mother‟s husband, who is my father. After they started living as husband and wife together he didn‟t want her to go out and every time he went to work he used to lock every year and a half. My mother never loved my father. This is my family‟s story that affects all my family until today. Teacher: Sheryl Sherwin ESL 5 Afternoon Fall 2009 30
