Why I Came to Live in the United States By Juan F. Guerrero I decided to live in the United States because I want a better opportunity to work and help my family. I am from Guatemala. It is a big country. My country has one of the most famous anthems of the world. I am very happy at Carlos Rosario School. I study English in the evening class. My class is Level 3. I like my class because every night I learn many things. My teacher, Shelley Potter, is beautiful. She helps every student in class. When I finish school I want to get my high school diploma. I have a dream for my future: first is studying hard, second is to go to class everyday, third is to graduate from college, fourth is to enroll in a graphic design state college and then look for a job. I want to be a graphic designer and help my family. My Favorite Holiday By Jiaming Liu I think my favorite holiday is Chinese New Year. For the Chinese New Year, students have vacation for one month. They enjoy these days. They can go to visit friends, take a trip with family, or do everything they want. On New Year‟s Day, in China, every family has a big dinner with family members. Adults have to give money to children as a spring festival gift. Children are very happy about it. The children set off firecrackers. I hope I‟ll go back to China for Chinese New Year later.
