About Me By Teresa Gutierrez My Country By Maria De Castro I am from El Salvador. El Salvador is a beautiful place. It has beach, rivers, and lakes. The weather is hot and warm. We have many traditions. For example every year on September 15 we celebrate Independence Day. We celebrate New Year‟s Day. We eat tamales, chicken, and sandwiches with our families. El Salvador has parks, malls, pools, and it has big families. The families have many dogs, chickens, cats, and horses. Teacher: Laurel Anderson Level 2 Morning Spring 2009 I have lived in the United States for twenty seven years. I have two daughters. My daughters‟ names are Mayra and Jessica. Mayra is twenty one years old and Jessica is seventeen years old. My daughters were born in Washington, DC. Mayra my oldest daughter goes to college. She is studying psychology and Jessica my youngest daughter graduated from high school. I am very happy because I have two very good daughters. I complete part of my American dream. I like to dance, and I dance very well the cumbia, merengue, and pasito duranguense. My mom is 78 years old. She likes to dance also. I like make up, lipstick, and very nice dresses. I like to look very nice. I miss my country. When I am 65 years old I want to go back to El Salvador because it is a very nice country. However, I will never forget this country because it gave many opportunities for me and my family. Teacher: Rebecca Crawford Level 2 Evening Spring 2009 16
