and we kind of just ran with it. We are
influenced by The Ventures, Marilyn
Manson and the Misfits.”
3. How many of you guys surf and
what’s your gnarliest surf story you can
share?
“All of us surf. Kelly Slater brought his
girlfriend Pamela Anderson. When
Kelly paddled out to surf the contest
I laid down on his towel with Pam and
tried to convince her to rub sunscreen
over my peeling skin. She denied me,
but even that was a pretty big deal for
a 12-year-old kid.”
4. Have you surfed here before?
“Last tour we did in Australia we surfed
Snapper Rocks, The Alley, and Manly. It
was a dream come true, finally getting
to surf the warm waters of Aus.”
5. How much do retro surf guitar
influences shape your sound?
“I used to be very heavily influenced
and it slowly faded over time.”
6. What’s the best song off your new
album to play live?
“Chinese Fountain cause it’s a dance
song dude.”
