KINGSCLIFF 2015
to compete at Kingscliff in 2015. Tie began
longboard surfing only five years ago and is
making his first 11,000km trip to Australia.
Singapore-based airline, Scoot, has entered
into a partnership with ALSO to support
the lifestyle component of the event with
a number of return tickets being offered as
competition prizes. “We hope to expand the
event to have a truly Asia-Pacific feel about
it in years to come,” said Sean.
This year’s five-day event will showcase
the best longboarders in the world with both
men’s and women’s current world champions,
Harley Ingleby and Chelsea Williams, who
regularly hone their skills at the Australian
Longboard Surfing Open, set to head the list
of competitors. Recently crowned European
Longboard Champion Edouard Delpero is
another international competitor confirmed
to compete at Kingscliff.
Held on March 25-29, the event also honours
the complete history of longboard surfing
with live music, a classic surf vehicle display,
