Construction will likely render the broadwater
a 15-plus-year dustbowl with hundreds of
trucks, barges, cranes and Chinese dozers,
but minus the all important job advertisements
and vacancies as most of the positions will
likely have already been pilfered away to our
new 457 visa comrades.
How could this have happened? How could
our government abandon their social and
ethical obligations, and in fact stomp on
them in the face of the community? That will
be a question for the ages. The shadowy
consortium, the mandate-less mayor, the lies
and misdirection, the near-criminal offering of
public beaches and waterways to foreigners
in the face of massive public protest
