history over allegations they deliberately lied and over predicted traffic numbers and outcomes for the failed Brisbane Clem Jones Tunnel toll roads in order to boost investment and generate wealth. Oddly enough, ASF have thus far refused to release the actual full simulation report and data to the public, and they only tested each vessel class a handful of times in some overly calm conditions. They now claim that ships as large as 360m can safely enter and exit the seaway. This is contrary to every earlier expert simulation and report done to date, which previously exposed significant risks involved for ships over 280m in length attempting the area. The ASF Consortium have released an economic report from MacroPlan Dimasi that speaks of many billions of dollars of benefits, but the report makes a glaring admission that it is based on unverified and unsubstantiated input data, and that they had ‘not sought to establish the reliability of the information’ supplied to them in determining their projections. They clearly make it known that they do not underwrite or guarantee anything they have reported.
