Our high school students were given an opportunity to participate in an art and graphic design contest this year, hosted by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce (GMCC), of which CCS is a member. Students were asked to interpret the theme of “Humanology” (the integration of humanity and technology) and to represent this concept visually. The winner’s artwork will be featured on the front cover of the GMCC Deskbook Directory for 2019-2020 and seen by nearly 5,000 people in the greater Manchester area. Sophomore, Macy, submitted her artwork to the GMCC and we are awaiting the results. Way to go, Macy!

Mark your calendars now for an afternoon you will not want to miss! Our last major “FUN”draiser of the year is our annual auction, which is being held on Saturday, April 27th, from 1-4 PM. This Broadway-themed auction will offer many goods, services, and items for sale. The bakery treats are likely to delight you as well. Please invite family, friends, and neighbors to join in the fun. The afternoon promises to be one of the highlights of the school year! We hope to see you there!

Binghamton Basketball Tournament

After the success of last year’s Ski Club, CCS parents, Kevin & Heather Yoreo, organized the club for our students once again. For a total of five Wednesdays in January and February, twelve middle and high school students (plus parents) have traveled to Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT, to enjoy nighttime skiing. What a fun way to pass the cold winter! Thanks, Yoreos, for your investment of time and organization! We appreciate you!

Our boys’ and girls’ varsity basketball teams competed in the 40th Annual Invitational Basketball Tournament, hosted by Central Baptist Christian Academy in Binghamton, NY, on January 18 & 19. Both CCS teams displayed athleticism and great sportsmanship! The girls’ team took home the first place trophy, and the boys’ team finished in second place. Chloe Snellenberger, Miles Jackson & Ethan Russell were named Tournament All-Stars, and Macy Jackson was awarded the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Congratulations to our CCS teams!
