Ben is now a motivational speaker and attends schools and corporate events to speak about his experience in discovering true vision and limitless vision , a vision that he said he discovered by losing his eyesight .
“ I feel like we all have these pre-conceived ideas or take things on face value without learning about people from the inside out ,” Ben said .
“ I ’ m trying to flip that vision and get people to start focusing on what really matters . And audiences have been really receptive to this concept because it addresses so many limiting beliefs that people naturally have .
“ But it isn ’ t really about sharing my story , it is more about the impact that this vision has on other people .”
In between his speaking engagements , Ben plans to take on the Kokoda Trail .
“ It is something I was really keen to do because I was always interested in Australian history growing up ,” Ben said .
“ When I lost my eyesight I thought it would be impossible to do Kokoda but early last year I started to think about it again and thought maybe it would be possible . My partner , Amy , and I will be donating money raised through doing the

Ben and Amy will also be launching their new business venture , Challenge on Purpose , during their Kokoda trek .
“ We want to take other groups of people on different challenges . Not always physical challenges , but anything to raise funds for a charity close to their heart and the idea is that through Challenge on Purpose we ’ ll help them facilitate that .”
