The National Public Toilet Map provides locations for over 17,000 public and private public toilets across Australia . The map helps people with disability find an accessible toilet when they are out , or when planning trips and activities .
For people who require specific accessible features to use a toilet , it can be very stressful to leave the security of their home or workplace . Some people with disability will ask themselves a multitude of questions before leaving home - whether the venue they ’ re going to even has an accessible toilet , and will it have the specific features they need ? prioritise your results by the features you require . If you ’ re planning a trip simply enter your starting point and destination , then filter as necessary and you will be presented with a list of all the toilets along the way . The toilet map data is also available to use in access guides , local maps or apps . Download the data by visiting data . gov . au ( search for “ nptm ”).
