“ It takes me a while to open up to people and so I ' m not the kind of actor who thrives on doing red carpets , doing press junkets , and so on ,” he says . “ I would have preferred to stay in the background more because I love my privacy but obviously the kind of success that Games of Thrones has had makes that impossible and I shouldn ' t really complain because it ' s probably the greatest role of my career .”
Looking ahead , Dinklage - who lives in New York with his wife , theatre director Erica Schmidt and their young daughter , is reportedly developing a biopic on the last days of French actor Hervé Villechaize , who starred in Fantasy Island and The Man with the Golden Gun . He is also rumoured to be negotiating a role in Marvel ’ s 2018 release Infinity War .
