revived
A
new collaboration
between theatre
and radio is reviving
the radio play, with Sydney
community radio station 2RPH
bringing the production Little
Fictions to the airwaves.
The Little Fictions theatre
group, which produces and presents
Little Fictions brings together
Australian stories and local acting
talent, with its on-air version proudly
reviving radio plays which were
popular in Australia until as late as
the 1970s.
Chair of 2RPH, Di Collins, said she
has fond memories of radio plays.
“As a child growing up in the
country I developed an enduring love
of radio plays,” Di said.
