11th National Disability Awards
The 11th National Disability
Awards were held at the
National Museum of Australia
on 3 December 2017.
The Awards, hosted by Assistant Minister for Social Services and Disability
Services, the Hon Jane Prentice MP, are the Australian Government’s main
celebration of International Day of People with Disability and recognise
outstanding achievements of individuals, teams and organisations that have
improved the lives of Australians with disability.

Catia is an advocate working to ensure people with
disability have equal access to educational oppor tunities,
as well as representation in the media. She is a leading
voice in Australia and internationally advocating for
the inclusion of people with disability in mainstream
adver tising and media and has been involved in the
inclusive adver tising effor ts of Kmar t and Target in the last
18 months. Catia has also co-founded the Global Alliance
for Disability in Media, which she helped launch in 2016
at the United Nations in Geneva.
