This year, the 2018 Junior
Limousin Show was held in
Denver, Colorado. Families
traveled from miles away to
attend this years “Christmas
in July.” To say that the long
drives were well worth it would
be an understatement.
The week kicked off with the
much-anticipated tenderfoot
social, where juniors were
able to participate in games
and connect with friends
after a long year apart. The
week was also started out
with the entertaining opening
ceremonies, where every
junior was recognized, and
delicious food was served.
After a busy first day, juniors
were able to showcase their
showmanship skills on day
two of the week. This then
set the next two show days
into full swing. Along with the
seriousness of the show, juniors
were able to take a break and
have fun with satellite events
such as the judging contest,
public speaking, cow camp,
team fitting, and more. As
always, the juniors were able
to bring high quality cattle,
and boast their other many
talents throughout the week.
As the week came to an end, we
hoped everyone had as much
fun and memorable times at this
year’s Junior Nationals as they do
waking up on Christmas morning.
Nothing compares to a Limousin
Junior Nationals with good cattle,
and even better people! I
