few years. Limousin cattle
have a tremendous amount
of advantages to offer the
U.S. cattle industry over the
next decade and we should
try to further capitalize on
crossbreeding opportunities
to expand the usage of
Limousin genetics commercially
throughout the industry.
NALF detailed the increased
usage of digital media venues
that NALF is utilizing by
providing an E-Partners to
membership every week instead
of bi-monthly. Additionally,
NALF has increased its presence
on Facebook, YouTube, etc.
to help promote and market
Limousin cattle via social
media outlets. Rebecca Ferda,
ILC committee chairman also
reported on the upcoming
ILC program this summer
encouraging membership to
not only take advantage of the
program by attending but also
encouraged participation of the
cattle display opportunities that
will be available throughout
the 10-day program. This would
also be a great opportunity
for our Fullblood membership
to get their cattle in front of
a new market if they take
advantage of the program.
Tonya Amen discussed the
upcoming release of BOLT
and the Spring 2018 NCE for
Limousin to the membership.
With the advent of BOLT, Amen
explained that all results will
be imputed to 50k. Genomic
